Founded by Rick Crawford in 2016, Emerger Strategies aims to improve businesses’ social, economic, and environmental bottom lines through consultancy as well as help businesses go carbon neutral and have zero waste. At the center of ES’s work is the belief that businesses can play a leading role in solving the climate crisis, and that companies that effectively and credibly implement climate-friendly practices improve holistically as well.

   Rick's love for fly fishing led him to pursue a career that protects his passion. He hosts an award-winning podcast, The Sustainable Angler, that shares sustainability instruction and inspiring stories of activists working to protect fisheries. Rick is also the founder of the Fly Fishing Climate Alliance - a group of guides, shops, lodges, brands, and nonprofits committed to being carbon neutral by 2030.

   Since Emerger Strategies’ inception, they have been a member of 1% For The Planet, donating to local and national environmental non-profits working on climate solutions, and they’ve recently partnered with One Tree Planted - for every new client, ten trees are planted.
