Access to Green Spaces

Green spaces are vital for health and quality of life. They provide opportunities for recreation, education, and cultural connections. Green spaces can range from open fields to city parks to the marsh. Quality green spaces are diverse, native, and are often working natural sinks. Urban areas frequently lack access to quality green spaces. People have a right to easy access to natural spaces and opportunities for affordable outdoor recreational activities.
