Prevalence of Sup-Optimal Living Conditions

People have a right to easy access to affordable housing and not be forced to live with sub-optimal conditions (e.g., poor structural integrity of living quarters, non-functional appliances, bad plumbing, holes/cracks in walls, ceilings, floors, windows/doors, inadequate living space given occupancy, etc.). The lack of access to affordable housing can result in negative health effects, mental and physical stress, and decreased quality of life.
