People have a right to employment with a livable wage that provides a buffer from economic stressors. Employment uncertainty harms individuals that need to support themselves, or a family, and need access to benefits like health insurance, paid time off, etc. People also have a right to access non-predatory financial institutions. Predatory lending services take advantage of communities without these institutions, making money off of high-interest loans and high fees. Legitimate financial institutions are critical to managing money and building wealth.
